Bee

I agree with Ken on this ID. Haven't seen this species in person though so I will wait for Dr. Ascher to comment :)

 
bee?
Was thinking it was some kind of bee. it flew into the car down my fiances shirt and either stung/bit him on the stomach causing him to hit 2 cars. He is ok just little dings but it scared him wanting to know what species and if its harmfull. Thanks.

 
Stings
As far as I know there are no bees with stings that are generally harmful to humans. Some individual people may have bad reactions to stings, just as they might react badly to strawberries or shellfish.

I have been stung only twice in many years, and both times the bee/wasp was caught in clothing.
