Bush Katydid Nymph - Scudderia mexicana

Bush Katydid Nymph - Scudderia mexicana
San Diego, San Diego County, California, USA
March 29, 2013
Size: about 6mm
Found this little insect on some flowers in front of a local garden several days ago. Yesterday I saw one or two more of the same kind on the same bush. Am I correct that this is a katydid nymph? What species?

in San Diego, it would be Scudderia mexicana
S. mexicana has been treated by some authors as a subspecies of S. furcata; so, clearly they are similar and closely related. Currently, S. mexicana is usually treated as a distinct species.

Moved from Fork-tailed Bush Katydid.
