This shot shows a freshly molted pale individual amongst the others. Within an hour it had developed the usual adult coloration.

Another very cool photo! Glad you went back (or never left) to verify that this was a freshly molted individual whose normal coloration soon came on.

Well, I cheated a little
- I captured one and brought it in to observe. I returned it to the yard after I saw it change color. The in-between stage was pale grey and pale orange, very pretty.
