Pedilus sp.
Definitely a Pedilus, but western females are really difficult and w/o a specimen under a 'scope - even more difficult. This could be Pedilus longilobus Fall (or not).

Pedilus yes
Lots of species in CA; apparently they are rather geographically restricted so location alone may help. Dan Young is our expert in this group; Vassili will most-likely send the link to him for analysis.
