This beetle was collected with a Berlese funnel from detritus from the bank of a running stream along Embudo Trl. (No. 193) at 6500 ft. elev., Tijeras 7.5’ quadrangle, Sandia Mountains, Bernalillo Co., NM.

This image is a CombineZP processed stack of 157 images with a 11.3 µm step taken with a Nikon CFI60 10×/0.25 ∞/0 mm microscope objective + Nikon 135mm F/2.8 AIS telephoto lens + Nikon D300 camera (magnification 6.75×; technique described here).
