moth - Cleora sublunaria - male

moth - Cleora sublunaria - Male
Verona, Augusta County, Virginia, USA
April 9, 2013
found under the vapor light, at first glance, I thought maybe a Common Gray, but the reniform spot is quite pronounced. Any ideas? The moth was "curled" around an edge which accounts for the distortion in sharpness to its wings. To the naked eye it was strikingly black and white in coloration. It was the size of a Melanolophia (there was one of those on the porch as well) Thanks!
