Collected while sifting maple leaf litter under the eave of a garage. I think I have a bunch of these preserved, but this is the first one I've taken palp shots of. It's a European import, and there weren't any collection coordinates for it in Rod Crawford's 1988 Washington checklist, so I wonder how common it is in the state? It seems pretty common around my house.

Identified by using the key in Dondale & Redner 1982(1), which quickly took me to the pallidula group which only has one North America species, I think (C. pallidula). Then I double checked the palp against Roberts 1995(2) and Paquin & Dupérré(3) (the diagrams in (3) turned out to be the exact same diagrams as in (1), actually).

From Rod Crawford:
"Congratulations on finding C. pallidula in Enumclaw! Heretofore, it hasn't been found south of North Seattle, so this is a range extension, albeit expected." - April 14, 2013
