Insect for ID - Camponotus

Insect for ID - Camponotus
Ottawa, Ottawa-Carleton, Ontario, Canada
May 29, 2011
This interesting looking insect (wasp?) was found in the woods bordering a wetland in late May. I was not able to measure it, but it was relatively large, I'd say about 3/4 inch or so.

Moved
Moved from Ants.

From Ottowa area...
Just about has to be either C. pennsylvanicus or C. novaeboracensis. Habitat near a wet area suggests the latter, but...
