Gardenia eggs - Coccus viridis

Gardenia eggs - Coccus viridis
South Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, USA
April 17, 2013
Found these eggs at the base of our Gardenia leaves. When observed, the little black spots within the eggs move, like there is a worm of some kind. Any clue? And it also looks like I might have mealybugs as well...

Moved from ID Request.

Green soft scale, Coccus viri
Green soft scale, Coccus viridis, very common on Gardenia in Florida. The black U-shaped line is the gut.

Appreciate it. I did some Googling with the name you gave me and found images similar to the pic I took. Thanks again.
