Bee fly? Syrphid? About 10mm wingtip to wingtip.

See Giff Beaton's page. It looks specifically like Chrysanthrax cypris, or the other species in that genus he has below. I think this is reliable--despite the issues with Exoprosopa and Villa we all discussed earlier!
