Small Phigalia - Phigalia strigataria

Small Phigalia - Phigalia strigataria
western edge of Franklin county, Franklin County, Missouri, USA

I changed my mind on this one - you were correct Paul. I recently had the opportunity to view nearly 4 dozen denticulata specimens, and none exhibit such a reduced tooth on vein M1 ... strigataria is is.

denticulata?
I'm not seeing the "tooth" in the PM line on this one. And April 10th seems extremely late for denticulata, especially this far south. What is the basis for this ID- am I missing something?

Tooth
Follow vein M1 - the "tooth" while faint, is visible, more so on the right FW. The date is within normal range, so I don't see any problem there. It's a very worn specimen, which always complicates it, but as far as I can see the necessary markings are visible to place it in denticulata.

Thanks Paul.
