thinking, dark Paractenicera fulvipes
Ive sent the link to Paul Johnson to see what he says.

P. fulvipes
This is P. fulvipes.

Sylvanelater cylindriformis is more cylindrical, the pronotum lacks the median longitudinal impression and the overall gestalt is like a large Limonius.

looks sharp
both elegant & intriguing indeed

interesting...
this one I definitely want to see up close and in person. Sylvanelater or possibly a dark Paractenicera come to mind. Pronotum doesn't look right for typical S. cylindriformis.

I have it saved
and will be collecting more for you this year.

please send along yes
This would be my first 'dark' specimen of this species (I have two specimens but they both have orange elytra). Thanks.
