I am completely new to beetles but found this guy on a walk. This is the closest I could come up with. I hope the photo is good enough (the blue flecks on the head and body don't show up well)

great call indeed; let's settle for Dichelotarsus sp.
several similar spp. in this tough group, and this one looks more like what we have in the guide as D. lygarius:

but it's just an observation, i'm not equipped to make the call

Yes I can see the similarities with both and the timing/location could also be either one. Genus level is great. Thanks for your help
