To the best of my knowledge, species of
Ophion
never have the forewing vein RS basally thickened and curved, as is the case with this species, so I asked Dr. David Wahl about it. His response was that he was pretty sure that this is a species of
Eremotylus
. Townes indicates that species of
Eremotylus
have a tubercle on the lower edge of the mesopleurum, a little behind the middle. The resolution of that area is unclear in this photo, but I believe I see evidence of what may be the tubercle.

E. americanus complex?
I think that the r-rs vein is too sinuous and thickened to be Eremotylus. I also don't see a raised area at the base of the second tergite which would make me believe this is actually a member of the Enicospilus-americanus complex.

My two other shots
aren't any clearer in that area. If I see it again I collect it. But this isn't a very common visitor
