On my fountain - Alaus

On my fountain - Alaus
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
April 22, 2013
Size: ~1.5"
This specimen has been hanging on the side of my fountain all day long today...

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Alaus oculatus vs. lusciosus
The two cannot be separated from this image.

ID?
Is there a positive identifier I could look for and possibly get another picture of, the specimen is still on my fountain...

probably not...
the vesiture patterns here are not revealing and Travis Co looks like it is in the range of both species. All other features are microscopic and would require examination of the specimen or images taken through a camera attached to a stereomicroscope.
