Bee - Colletes inaequalis - male - female

Bee - Colletes inaequalis - Male Female
Pheasant Branch Conservancy, Middleton, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
April 22, 2013
Even though this male (on top) won the battle to mate, I'm not sure it was a successful mating - first he got brushed off by a low-hanging blade of grass the female went under, and then she entered a nest hole, which forced him to dismount.
