Rhopalophora - Rhopalophora longipes
Lake Dallas, Denton County, Texas, USA

I have been seeing these recently in a wooded area near home. The photos in this post are of the same individual. I saw this one sunning itself on a smilax leaf. When I gently scooped it up it appeared to "play dead". Still not sure of the species.
