Cryphoeca exlineae? - Cryphoeca exlineae - male

Cryphoeca exlineae? - Cryphoeca exlineae - Male
Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
April 24, 2013
Size: ~4.5mm body length
Found in the folds of a plastic sheet. I'm hoping this guy is C. exlineae. I've found a whole lot of males over the last few months that I suspected were, but none mature. I'll email Rod for confirmation.

ID confirmed by Rod Crawford
"Almost all the published figures of C. exlineae are under the now-obsolete name "Cryphoeca peckhami." Platnick got confused about this one and listed those under Cicurina peckhami. The right-angle-bend RTA is very characteristic, showing that's what you have."

I was still confused about this since the bent RTA isn't visible in the retrolateral palp shot, but if you look at the face shot it's there on both palps.

Edit: Added a close-up of the RTA.

Moved from Spiders.
