L. grandis? - Lebia

L. grandis? - Lebia
Organ Mountains foothills, Doña Ana County, New Mexico, USA
August 6, 2006
Size: about 7.3 mm
There were quite a few beetles of this general apperance and color scheme that came to my UV lights and I am trying to determine if more than one species is involved.

Only upon working on the photos for bugguide posting did I notice that this beetle bears a feature illuminated on Patrick's series of L. grandis -- a concavity and spur on the inside of the front tibia. He pointed out other traits also, but the specimens and I were separated some 2,000 miles by this point, so I couldn't shoot other features that might help confirm this ID.
