Kyle you are probably correct
Kyle you are probably correct on the ID. Unfortunately this series of shots brings up an old discussion from an earlier series of
Texania
seen here
We can not clearly see the elytral apices to determine if it is the common
T. campestris
or the much rarer
T. langeri
. I think it is best that we move it to the genus page.

Identification
Yes, Josh, we cannot see that character at all; however, it is not the only distiguishing character. To quote from Knull, 1956, Ent. News 67(2), under
T. langeri
, "The species lacks the median broad sulcus of both [of the other species]." In this image we can clearly see the sulcus.

I wouldn't argue with that at
I wouldn't argue with that at all. I am usually hesitant to ID to species level from images but I have only ever seen one specimen of T. langeri in all the samples I've done, so kind of assumed. But I agree, the important character is not visible and leaving at genus level sounds good.
