Seconding the good points that Tim brings up. In the case of this specimen, there is no stripe on the anterolateral margin of the pronotum so it cannot be Gerris buenoi.

Curious to know...
what is the basis of your id? Did you collect it? Key it out? Without specimens and/or shots of the diagnostic areas, the chances of getting a species identification from a field shot are very slim.
