Big Red Ants - Formica integra
Chino Farms near Kingstown, Queen Anne's County, Maryland, USA

These were large ants - the size of the big black carpenter ants I'm used to seeing. There were a bunch of them traveling through and over this straw on the ground here.

Found during the BioBlitz at Chino Farms.
