Variegated Cutworm - Peridroma saucia

Variegated Cutworm - Peridroma saucia
Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, USA
April 21, 2013
Came to light. Med-Lg size. Pretty dark brown with lighter parts inside margin of wing. Looks kinda like some sort of dark Spring Quaker or Woodgrain, but I couldn't find a good match. Any ideas? Thanks! I included 2 views from about the same angle but one shows head details better.

I don't know ...
Jon,
It doesn't look to me like any of these Spring Quakers. My first thought would be one of the Condica moths, but they mostly have white-dotted terminal lines. Wish I could be more help.
