Adult female - Xysticus cristatus - female

Adult female - Xysticus cristatus - Female
Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
April 28, 2013
Size: ~8.5mm body length
Found on the side of the house. One of the biggest Xysticus I've seen so far. She has quite a grip; you can really feel it when she's crawling around on your hand.

ID from habitus and epigynum.

I'm guessing X. cristatus is a relatively recent introduction since it's not covered by Dondale & Redner 1978, nor does it appear in the 1988 Washington checklist?
