Unknown Beetle - Listropsis
1.6 mi. NNW. of Antelope Fire Control Station, Willow Springs, San Benito County, California, USA
April 22, 2013
Size: 3.0mm length.
While I was photographing Calochortus luteus, I found this guy in the flower. 36.66578°N, 121.03568°W; 2634 ft. elevation.

Moved
Moved from Dasytinae.

Listropsis
This is a species of Listropsis.

very nice... please keep shooting & posting them
any number of described genera and Dieu seul sait how many spp. in CA; group needs insane amount of work, but hopefully Ade Mayor is up to it

Moved from Beetles.

The two current specimens
are on minuten pins; would 70% EtOH be better?

can't tell what Dr Mayor prefers
guessing, minuten mounts should do just fine
