Carolina Wolf Spider??? - Schizocosa

Carolina Wolf Spider??? - Schizocosa
Waterloo, Monroe County, Illinois, USA
May 1, 2013
Size: 3/8 -1/2"
Planting in the garden...the struggle of two spiders locked in battle caught my eye...they were locked together in a ball and rolling violently back and forth. I ran to get the camera and the struggle was over when I got back. I couldn't tell what the losing spider was. I am guessing this is a young wolf spider. It has some resemblance to Hogna carolinensis.
