Prodoxidae: Prodoxus decipiens? - Prodoxus quinquepunctella

Prodoxidae: Prodoxus decipiens? - Prodoxus quinquepunctella
Billings, Yellowstone County, Montana, USA
May 1, 2013
Size: Length 7-8 mm
This Pupa and pupa case were found half-emerged from seed stalk of a dried Yucca plant found in a dried weed arrangement, prepared by my spouse, in the living room of my house. The Yucca was obtained from Billings, Montana in mid-March 2013, and had been kept at ambient temperatures of 60-65oF until today, 02 May, when this adult moth emerged.

How lucky you are! I search
How lucky you are! I search for the little pupae but have never found one. Great photos of the little guy.

Hi Sam!
As usual, serendipity may even favor an unprepared mind from time to time. ;-)
