bumblebee scarab beetle in Wisconsin? - Euphoria inda

bumblebee scarab beetle in Wisconsin? - Euphoria inda
rural Dodgeville, Iowa County, Wisconsin, USA
May 1, 2013
Size: ~1.5cm
Found several of these flying around together in a small dry prairie remnant. Flight pattern and sound were VERY similar to that of a bumblebee. I figure they are Family Glaphyridae, but none of the photos in BugGuide quite seem to match these individuals.

Euphoria inda
widespread and very common; nowhere near 1.5cm, though (pls keep in mind that size data only help if measured in mm, otherwise the field is better left blank; estimates are useless for identification purposes, and more often mislead than help)
Glaphyridae are not known to occur in your area; in North America, that family seems to be restricted to the coastal states (on both seaboards)

1.5 cm is reasonable for this species
it's one of the larger Euphoria.
