Syrphid - Psilota

Syrphid - Psilota
Buffalo National River Boen Gulf, Newton County, Arkansas, USA
May 18, 2010
I'm a student at the University of Arkansas working on a special problems course identifying the family Syrphidae. All specimens are collected by Dr. Dowlings Lab located at the Department of Entomology at the University of Arkansas.

I'm trying to determine what species of Psilota this is? It's currently not posted on Bugguide for some reason? Thanks for any further help!

Moved
Moved from Syrphid Flies.

For the most part, genus and species pages are added as needed.
So apparently no one has posted this genus previously. It would be a good idea for you to request that an editor create such a page for Psilota. You can make your request at this forum: http://bugguide.net/forum/14

I noticed a chart in Wikipedia that may help you here...or lead you to something that will. Please check: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psilota

When you get a chance, email me with your address, as I'd like to share some info about the site with you.
