Darkling Beetle - Diaperis maculata

Darkling Beetle - Diaperis maculata
Columbia, Missouri, Boone County, Missouri, USA
May 1, 2013
Came to light at night. Pretty small - 5mm TL. I've looked at 100's of pages of Lady Beetles and the like, and don't see anything that matches. What's crazy is this thing's probably crawling around thru the many web pages of BG, right under my nose, but I can't find him! O.K. so I give in, any IDea what Beetle this is?

Dang!
This is a Trickster indeed! In BROWSE mode, there's absolutely nuttin like it in Subtribe Diaperina, but sure as heck, when you drill down the next level to Genus, then Species, there he is!

Ya saved me again V.

THANKS!
