Explanation of Names
Specific epithet means "straw-colored" for the "pale straw-colour" of the forewings.

Capture dates range from 16 June to 22 July.

This species has been confused with the
Eucosma grindeliana complex in collections and references such as Heinrich (1923)

It appears that
stramineana from southern California illustrated in Powell & Opler (2009)
(5), fig.15.6, Specimen No.
EMEC71297 at Calphotos, may actually be
Eucosma clementeana.
