Not Notodontidae, but Noctuidae
This looks more like Notodontidae to me, and resembles members of the Psaphida genus, and most like the variable Psaphida electilis, though I do see some minor differences.

moth is Mottled Prominent - Hodges#7975 (Macrurocampa marthesia)
they are pretty variable but take a peek at this..
