Bee - Nomada

Bee - Nomada
Lily Pond, Harriman State Park, Rockland County, New York, USA
May 7, 2013
Thinking "out loud" here...
Andrena because of the early date and the pilose thorax? A facial shot would help, but this puppy was elusive.
Not Nomada because of the pilose thorax.
Possibly Halictus since there are some simiiar images in the the database.

Nomada
looks like Nomada. lots of Nomada out now. three weeks ago it was mostly Andrena in my area, now I'm seeing all kinds esp. Nomada, Ceratina & Osmia

Yes
While it is certainly true that Nomada are not hairy bees, they do often have some hairs (i.e. not completely without fuzz).
