Milkweed Assassin Bug - Zelus longipes

Milkweed Assassin Bug - Zelus longipes
Tybee Island, Chatham County, Georgia, USA
September 20, 2004
There were several of these bugs in the weeds lining the banks of a small creek, about 1/4 mile from the beach.

This one was eating a small fly, it appears. I'm not sure if the white stuff on the leaf is a result of the assassin bug eating the fly, or if the location is coincidence.
