May 8, 2013
Size: est. 12mm
on sand ocean beach near salt marsh; flew in and landed in sand near me for a few seconds then flew off again. I'm thinking this must be C. saucia which I photographed here last summer (thanks to _v_ for that ID)??

nice bug...
Moved from Pentatomoidea.

ID confirmed by D.B. Thomas

Thanks!
Thanks so much, as always, _v_. I've just submitted another specimen found dead a few hundred meters from this one which I believe may also be C. saucia.

Neat record
Hi Stu,
I was just working with specimens I collected in 2015 on Portage Island in the mouth of the Miramichi. I got C. saucia there too. I can't find a published record from Canada. It's not in the Checklist of the Hemiptera of Canada and Alaska or in the Atlantic Maritime ecozone treatment. Your photo might be the first record for the Canada!
Cheers,
John

Thanks, John.
