Beetle larva? - Cryptocercus punctulatus

Beetle larva? - Cryptocercus punctulatus
Potomac State Forest, Garrett County, Maryland, USA
May 12, 2013
I not really sure what this critter is. My guess would be it is a larva of some type. It was found under a log on the slope of a rich deciduous forest. Can someone help me out? Thanks for looking.

Thank you for the speedy id.
Thank you for the speedy id. I now know what Cryptocercus cockroaches look like :)
I did a little research and according to G. Folkerts in his article
"The range of the Eastern woodeating cockroach, Cryptocercus punctulatus Scudder (Blattaria: Cryptocercidae) in the United States" published in the Entomological News, 117(1): 101-108. 2006., this cockroach is found in Maryland. Folkerts say, "In western Maryland, Cryptocerus is common. It is relatively abundant in Garrett State Forest..."
Thanks again for the help.

Jim--
thank you so much for directing me to that important article of which i, and apparently other users, were unaware
