Another E. niger mistaken for
Another E. niger mistaken for E. harrisii...this is part of why Rick and I investigated this genus. The large punctation is diagnostic for E. niger. E. harrisii seems to be less common than E. niger. See images of our specimen of E. harrisii as well as an image of the holotype in: Hinson,K.R. and R.J. Buss. 2015. New state records and identification of North American Eurypogon Motschulsky (Coleoptera: Artematopodidae), with a lectotype designation for Eurypogon niger (Melsheimer). The Coleopterists Bulletin 69(4): 768-772.
