Alleghany Mound Ant - Formica exsectoides

Alleghany Mound Ant - Formica exsectoides
Shirley, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
May 19, 2013
This ant was from a slightly raised mound 4 feet across and 6 inches high.

Moved
Moved from Ants.
Thanks for the help.

I would say yes (Formica exsectoides, worker)
Based on slightly concave vertex and steep first urotergite (this one is more smoothly rounded in both rufa and sanguinea groups).
Pallidefulva-group species are much slenderer ants.

Formica
Pretty sure Formica given the profile (the "broken back"). Maybe Formica pallidefulva? (wait for an expert)
