Crawling Water Beetle larvae - Peltodytes

Crawling Water Beetle larvae - Peltodytes
Johnson County, Texas, USA
May 19, 2013
My son and I have set up a fresh water pond aquarium in the back yard and are trying to identify all the wonderfully interesting little critters swimming around in it. We used Voshell's "Guide to Common Freshwater Invertebrates" to identify this tiny guy as crawling water beetle larvae. Probably around 5mm long. [Cite:7086 ]
