Moved from Athysanini.

Moved from Leafhoppers.

your new genus, second new species!
I hope that you kept this specimen!

Unlike the one you found last year, this one has a bluntly rounded head.

This specimen is even smaller than Allygiella clathratus, has a shorter head, and no white veins. The only other genus like this, Allygianus, has much larger individuals with more coarsely reticulate venation.

Keep up the good work!

Specimen rertained
I did indeed keep this specimen (in 70% EtOH). I now routinely retain all specimens of Cicadellids which I photograph, just in case they may turn out to be something of scientific interest. An occasional specimen may spring into the air while being photographed, and magically disappear, never to be seen again.
