On roadside dandelions through wet mixed forest. Don't know which family this is....

No past post has made it to species, of which there are 22 in Nearctica.

Syrphidae ?
I now see some similarities with Shegina (family Syrphidae)

Stuart, where did you find Shegina?
I can't locate it on line, except finding just the name at Bug Guide.
