The only one I could find with this many lines of raised scales was 1799 –
Exoteleia chillcotti
but I could not make the colors look right.

The only pine in the vicinity is the introduced Pinus radiata, but if I recall correctly the trees would have been about 1/4 mile from where the moth was found

i don't really have anything worthwhile to offer to this conversation.
I have plants that I attributed to an Id that were further than yours, but I have NO idea what the range of flight of a single brood of a moth is. I don't even know if that has been studied.
