Huachuca Canyon, Huachuca Mts, Cochise County, AZ, Cochise County, Arizona, USA

Size: approx. 2.5"
Found of several of these crawling around on the ground. Oaks and junipers were the predominant vegetation.

Fits...
I just read (Moths of Western North America, Powell & Opler)that McFarland did a life history study in the Huachuca Mts and that the host plant is Emory Oak which is abundant there. The timing of pupation also fits. Thanks for suggesting this genus. Most likely Dichogaster coronada.
