Size: est. 12mm
Nectaring at wild strawberry flowers along roadside adjacent to small bog. Seems to key out to Blera confusa using the Ontario Syrphidae guide. Would appreciate confirmation or correction!

Keys out to Blera confusa in
Keys out to Blera confusa in Curran 1953 - specifically, hind femora are black at the base, distinguishing from B. badia and scutellum is black, distinguishing from B. metcalfi.
