I found this insect while hiking earlier this week and am unsure as to its identification. Any help would be most appreciated!

Further research leads me to believe this is Playtpedia areolata?

Thank you! I thought it was a cicada. Growing up in Texas I use to see them all the time, but living in North Idaho I haven't seen one in the 20 years I've been up here. Doesn't look the same as the cicadas in Texas, so I wasn't sure about it.
