Oak Treehopper from Seattle - Platycotis vittata - female

Oak Treehopper from Seattle - Platycotis vittata - Female
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
September 12, 2006
In my entire life, I have never seen one of these! I'm in the process of documenting the growth of the nymphs. I'd like to see a male. If I'm totally off from what species this is, please let me know!
Thank you,
Cheryl M.

Nice work
Quite an interesting study. Mom looks very stoic.

Oak Treehopper from Seattle
I've just moved this to the species page because I am sure that this is the Oak Treehopper. (It's also on an oak, too!)
