Explanation of Names
Named for entomologist and collector George J. Balogh of Michigan in recognition of his work on Lepidoptera. (1)
Size
Forewing length 4-6.5 mm. (1)
Range
Michigan to Mississippi, and Massachusetts to North Carolina. (1)
Holotype female: Yonkers, Westchester County, New York, 06/19/1936 (A.B. Klots).
Season
Adults are most common from March to September. (2), (1)

Sabourin, et al. (2002) stated the larval host plant is unknown. (1)
