Size: approx. 35 mm
Found moseying down the street around 7 PM. My guess is it's a male Strategus aloeus but I'm not entirely certain. My side view looks a lot like the one in Scott Nelson's photo.

When I got a little too close for its comfort, this little one pulled its head into its shell, much the way a turtle does.
