red-brown ground beetle - Clivina impressefrons

red-brown ground beetle - Clivina impressefrons
Organ Mountains foothills, Doña Ana County, New Mexico, USA
August 9, 2006
Size: about 6 mm
Came to UV lights on greasewood/mesquite/cactus incline below jagged spires of the Organ Mountains. Another of this species came to my first UV light setup location. IDed by comparing with specimens in arthropod collection at NMSU, where this and most of my New Mexico specimens now reside.
