Stenaspis verticalis insignis
This is a Stenaspis verticalis insignis , I think it is new for the guide. There is a good site for Texas insects - http://www.texasento.net . Spectacular beetle isn't it ?

Not new species
but it is a new subspecies for the guide and the first picture of a live one, which is much more brightly colored than a mounted specimen......
